I have had two spinal surgeries in the past two years and sleeping well has been somewhat of a challenge. I had thought that a memory foam mattress might really help to evenly distribute my weight and relieve some of my back problems. The only problem was that every quality mattress that I looked at was just too expensive. When I found Bedinabox, I frankly thought that it promised too much at such a low price. But, after reading the specs on the materials used and the construction, I figured it was worth a gamble.

I was right in my assumption that the memory foam approach was very helpful to sleeping with my bad back. I've had it for about nine months now and I couldn't be more satisfied. I started looking at memory foam mattresses two years ago. I was very close to buying a tempur-pedic, as ever other mattress I tried in the stores just was too hard or too squishy. I forget how I stumbled across Bed-in-a-Box, but I was very cautious.

I decided to give it a shot because of reviews like this. Also, the information they provide on the website is great. And for some reason it seemed familiar to me, maybe it was the chemical company who makes the foam ie a huge company with a great reputation.

My take, the bed comes in a box! It is fun just opening the thing. I got a california king, as I am taller, and it was amazing at how compact it was. The bed is super comfortable, it holds up great and fits into the tempurpedic range of support and give, right in between the too hard or too squishy. I have had it for over a year and see no difference in how the material reacts.

If you are inteligently looking for a new memory foam mattress, you know what to look for and Bed-in-a-Box has it all. Save your money buy one of these mattresses!

We love our bedinabox bed. My wife complains the bed is so comfortable she does not want to get up. She is working on a master's degree and does most of her studying in bed. It is great. We sleep deeper and feel more refreshed in the morning. We just love our bed and recommend it to all our friends.

Setup was simple. I built a platform, so we just opened the box and placed the matress on the platform. It comes in a box, compressed into a small roll covered by a plastic in nylon duffle bag. We cut open the wraper and it expanded to full size in a just a couple of minutes.

My children love to lay on it. They think it is the best bed ever.

Only one thing does not impress me. The bed does not come with a matress cover like the one from stores. You can buy a down cover, but I did not. So mine came with a water proof pad that gets pretty hot. So if you want to turn off the heat, the water proof pad is the ticket. We removed it and now just use a regular bed pad that works fine.

I bought the PacDown Plus foam mattress with down cover from Bed in a Box a few months ago, and I have been happy as a puppy romping in a field of daisies ever since. Unlike other foam mattresses, including the "space age" foam mattresses that cost way more than this one, I have both cushy comfort and gently firm support each night as I drift off to dream land. According to the website, the mattress I bought has 3" of memory foam and 8" of High Resiliency base foam.Thing is, I wasn't sure how such a mattress could fit into a relatively small duffel. Wow! Was I surprised. When I began to cut away the plastic that covered the rolled up mattress, it immediately inflated to the full 11" thickness and was ready to lie down upon. It was love at first snooze!

I love my bed in a box so much!! The down cover makes it feel like I am sleeping on a cloud. If I ever move and need more beds, I will definitely buy all of them from Bed In A Box. The customer service was outstanding. When I got the bed, I had a question and they replied right away. It was such a great deal compared with other memory foam mattresses. I really wanted this $2500 mattress I saw in the store. I tried it out, and I bought the Bed in A Box and it feels like the same quality as the pricier mattress. I bought the Pacbed Original Plus with no down cover and I just love it. I've suffered with painful hips and low back pain for years and thought this might be the mattress for me, but couldn't make up my mind. I came across the Bedinabox website and made my decision. I was very skeptical about ordering a bed from the Internet. I saw all the great reviews and thought they must be filtering out the bad ones. I finally went for it when my daughter graduated to her "big girl" room and purchased the PacDown 9" with frame. Everything was as advertised. The bed shipped quick (2 days to Michigan) and complete. I bought a Tempurpedic mattress a few years back and actually returned it because it was too hard. After that, I did my research and decided that a lower density foam was right for me. This led me Bedinabox.

I liked the fact that their mattresses are American made and by BASF no less! Ordering was easy, delivery was right on time, and the price was a fraction of the Tempurpedic. The mattress is soft and does mold to your body, but it is also responsive and retakes shape quickly. I love this mattress and it is definitely the best bed I've ever had.

My boyfriend and I do love our "bed-in-a-box" but did have some issues initially. We found that we were both very comfortable but that our backs were getting very hot and sweaty during the night. At first we assumed that it was because we weren't tossing around anymore. Then we decided to purchase the down cover to see if that would help create some air-flow under our backs. Months later we were still having the issue when we decided to take off the protective cover with the plastic backing. That was the problem, and now we both sleep normally with no pools of sweat in the morning.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase a memory foam mattress from Bed-in-a-Box; there were just so many online suppliers to choose from. However, they were the only company that I could find that actually guaranteed their products; which was nice, but not necessary. The bed that I purchased is very comfortable, I've had it for quite some time now, and the memory foam is just as comfortable as it was when I first purchased it. Finally, their customer service representatives are knowledgeable and helpful, the bed arrived sooner than I had expected, and their prices can't be beat.

I purchased a memory foam mattress for my ranch home three hours from Houston and it is great for getting a good nights sleep. Also shopping online with delivery to my door in a box was an added value at a competitive price. My only regret is I do not have the same mattress at my Houston home. I am considering changing my full time home mattresses in the future. I have had my PacDown mattress from Bedinabox.com for over a year, and it is the most comfortable thing ever. When I stay at a hotel, it takes longer to fall asleep and I wake up with a backache. This mattress cost only half of what I paid for my last bed, but is so much better.

It is a little awkward to move, just because the foam is so heavy. To get the mattress into my new apartment, I rolled it into a cylinder and secured with ratcheting tie-downs to act as handles which made it easy to carry.

My bed arrived in two boxes. One was the mattress and one was the box support. I had to put the box support together. This was very easy. I did not believe my mattress could be in that box until I opened it. It was like it sprang to life. Unlike the last memory mattress I had, this one was comfortable the very first night and alot less money. This is the only place I will ever buy a bed from again.

PacBamboo Plus 11" Memory Foam Mattress - King on an Ergomotion Adjustable Bed Frame

My wife and I were having trouble sleeping on our queen split memory foam mattress. It was too hot, even in winter, and a split queen was just too small. So we went out looking for a king sized adjustable bed. Certainly the comfort of the memory foam was a factor for us, but we did not want to get another unit that was so hot. Our choices ended up between a Tempur-Pedic and a Select Comfort Air mattress, both of which were very expensive. The Tempur-Pedic was going to be too hot again, and we were not comfortable with the air pump on the Select Comfort that was likely to go off any time of the night. In desperation we went looking on the web, and after quite a bit of trouble, we found Bedinabox.com.

It was difficult to believe the price, far less than half that of the competition. And the foam density was lower, so we were concerned about the possible stiffness of the mattress, but the cover was hypoallergenic made from a renewable resource, so what the hey, I got out my trusty credit card and ordered the split king and an adjustable platform. You never know...

A short time later two boxes arrived. They were fairly small, and we assumed they were parts for the adjustable bed. Then the adjustable bed arrived. It took two of us to get the unit into the bedroom, but it was absolutely a snap to set up and easier to work with than the European frame we had before. We discovered that the smaller boxes were actually the mattresses, vacuum packed, and when the plastic bag was cut open, each mattress fluffed up to its full size. Wow! That was cool. The overall weight was much less, so the entire bed is easier to move around than our old memory foam queen, and yet the comfort was even better. The first night's sleep was the best we had had in years! It wasn't hot, and the adjustable base allowed me personally to tilt the mattress a little bit to prevent acid reflus. I will never have another bed without it being adjustable, as this allows me to avoid medications when I sleep. The savings in drugs alone is one incredible benefit.

The adjustable base has more features than we ever expected, up to and including a vibrate mode that can be set to operated for different amounts of time. This, too, is really cool. Nowadays we go to bed, my wife writes in her diary, and I sit up and read for a while. Absolutely fabulous. After about one month, we had one of the control mechanisms go bad due to a factory defect. But a replacement was sent out the same day I called about the problem, and the replacement unit simply snapped into place. It is obvious a lot of thought went into the design of the adjustable base.

We have now been enjoying our bed for eleven months, and have come to the conclusion that will never buy a bed from anywhere else. Bedinabox Rocks!!!

I have had my Bed-In-A-Box memory foam mattress for about three months now. I discovered the Bed-In-A-Box website accidentally (www.bedinabox.com), and I'm so glad I did! Before ordering I called to ask my personal questions regarding an oversized husband, and talked to the owner who was MOST helpful, as was each person I talked to regarding my order and the mistakes I made!

Purchasing mattresses has always been traumatic because my husband's size has speedily broken down all mattresses. Last time we purchased a top of the line national brand with a 10 year warranty, and the company has replaced the whole thing twice. Many years ago I purchased a foam mattress which broke down in a month under my husband.

I purchased the PacDown Plus extra-thick full size mattress for myself (115 lbs) so my sceptical but large husband could try it out, although he's too long for it. He has just about worked up the nerve to buy one for himself. He has watched my response, layed on my bed, and plans to sleep on it while I'm gone on a trip.

I read all of the facts on the website before I asked questions, talked to relatives who had purchased the Temperpedic and still found it unsatisfactory for the same reasons I did'nt like the memory foam pillows: too hot and too soggy. The FAQ's on Bedinabox.com told me that their memory foam is a new formulation that has a wide temperature range for maintaining resiliancy, and more airspaces for coolness. I have found both facts to be true. In addition, the down mattress cover is absolutely delightful and very well constructed. It does in fact help to dissipate body heat. Oh, and I kept my old boxsprings and simply put plywood on top of them to provide the proper foundation.

The only thing I have done is to layer a couple of standard mattress pads over the waterproof pad and under the down cover in order to absorb body moisture even more. That is personal preference and not necessary. It adds slightly more stiffness to the mattress, but I have NEVER slept so well on any mattress, nor experienced less body discomfort. I do not toss and turn anymore. There is NO difference in spring-back whether it is the place I have slept on all night or the cool mattress nearby. It is lovely to have no sag anywhere on the mattress and equal support right to the edge. I am assured that if I experience a sagging mattress, the company will deal with it right away. I can not recommend this too much. Bedinabox.com not only has a great product at a great price, but a great group of people running this business.

As you can see from the picture, I'm over 50 and am not very well "padded." Most mattresses were not comfortable and I'd wake up with a lot of pain in my hip and sometimes my elbows. I'd decided that my next mattress would be a memory foam. But when I went looking, they were all so expensive. Some online reviews of the "brand" named mattresses scared me, because they didn't sound as if they really gave you much for the money - and that customer service wasn't the best.

I liked what I saw on the website, the prices were excellent and included a feather quilted top to go between the mattress and the bottom sheet. After what I'd read about these memory foams being "sweaty," that sounded like a great idea.

When I called the number to talk to someone at Bedinabox, the young lady I spoke with was so nice. She explained that the mattresses were made in the USA in I think, NC or a state nearby, they did no advertising and relied on word of mouth - so customers got a great price. She also explained about the feather mattress topper, the free shipping and so on. I decided to go ahead and get a mattress!

It arrived in a timely fashion, was easy to open and lay on the bed (though understandably heavy) and was perfectly clean. The quilted feather cover was absolutely luscious! The cotton was so soft and the loft was amazing. I thought about buying one, trimming off the fitted material and using it as a blanket - just a work of art in fabric and elegant simplicity.

Now the moment (or should I say night) of truth. Very comfortable but it was so soft, softer than I expected. After a few days something caught my eye on the edge of the bed and I realized that I'd put the mattress on upside down! And it was pretty comfortable that way, just very soft. So I flipped it over and it was firmer - just the right way! But if I ever want it softer, I know what to do.

Not too long after I got the mattress, I was telling my husband about it, and he said he might want to consider one for himself. (We use a pair of twin mattresses; he tosses and turns all night, and I want to keep my teeth.) One day he gave it a try, and...almost fell asleep in minutes! He wasn't in the market for a new mattress at the time but he will be soon and he's definitely getting one from Bedinabox. And we'll get a 5% discount because we're established customers. Bedinabox will be hearing from us again soon.

About a year ago, my wife and I were looking to replace our old worn-out innerspring mattress on a budget. We'd been sleeping on a 2.5" memory foam topper for quite some time, but the mattress underneath was just beginning to sag too much. I did a ton of research online, and I couldn't find anything to beat BedInABox.com's deal on their PacBed Original so we ordered one. Nobody else could beat the price for a memory foam mattress, and I figured if it was terrible, I could always use the topper we already had to make it more comfortable.

Moving the mattress proved to be a little bit of a challenge. Though the weight is lower than most mattresses, it doesn't have the rigidity of an innerspring, so the initial lift wasn't easy.

Overall we've been very pleased and we've recommended BedInABox to many friends! We bought our PacBed for the price, and we've happily stuck with it for the comfort!

The bed-in-a-box mattress was a great choice for me. I was in the market for a new mattress and after all the hype of memory foam i decided to go to the local store to check them out. When i first laid on one, I knew this is what i needed but the price tag was way to steep. I started searching on the Internet for a "knock off" and stumbled upon bed-in-a-box. I looked at the various comparison, foam density, weight, etc....and figured it was worth a shot.

I ordered the mattress and it was at my doorstep about a week later. I unrolled it and watched it come to life. I also ordered the optional down topper which i am glad i did.

I like a firm mattress so this was a perfect fit I was a little concerned because all of the reviews on memory foam said to watch out because they are very warm. I sleep almost to hot but i have not noticed this issue yet.

All in all i would highly recommend this product to anyone who is still a little skeptical about memory foam and does not want to invest the 2k plus on a more "name brand" mattress.

Now i just need to order one for my girlfriend because after i stay over there my back is killing me until i get one night on my own bed.

I purchased the pacbamboo style mattress from Bedinabox. I will say that it has been my best mattress purchase to date and will be the only one for the duration. Here's the details: I was a water-bed aficionado for a long time then switched to a regular bed (a good one).It soon became uncomfortable but due to the prices we waited. I had some lower back pain and in an attempt to help my wife finally chose to get a new one and I had the "go ahead". I researched many styles and prices and came down to 2 choices. one was a regular bed and the other was a memory foam. The problem was my wife thought I was crazy but she liked it too. I had previously seen the Bedinabox website but she thought I was crazy. So long story and some research , calls and faith I bought the bed. It was exactly as they stated and they explained the return policy and confirmed my suspicion that "beds just don't cost that much". I received it during our stressful hurricane events and it was a blessing and we haven't looked back. I would not hesitate to get one and i would choose the bamboo type.I have slept comfortable ever-since , this includes the wife, the kids, and my dog. I cant wait to get another. We bought the Bed-In-A-Box memory foam mattress to replace the one that came with our new motorhome. We have a memory foam mattress in our bedroom at home but there is no comparison in quality. Clearly, not all memory foam is created equal. We have bought several memory foam pillows from different manufacturers and were surprised at the varying comfort levels, the difference can be jarring.

When we bought the motorhome, I was concerned that my husband and I would not be able to sleep together comfortably in a queen size bed after many years of sleeping on a king. Absolutely no issue with the new mattress. We wake up in the same position in which we fell asleep. I have to have a new Bed-in-a-Box memory foam for the house!!!

I have read complaints about: A) hotter than a usual mattress---neither of us has noticed this and we are extremely hot natured. B) chemical odor---we left the mattress open and uncovered for several days, as the directions instructed. We also left the fan blowing on it, flipped it once. THERE IS NO ODOR. If the directions are read, there will be no issues.

To say that the Bed InA Box mattress is great mattress is a under statement. I check around alot looking at the Tempur mattresses and the Sealy foam mattresses. I just couldnt justify spending three thousand dollars for a mattress. Next I checked Overstock.com. There i found quite afew mattress at great prices but found they say to let them air for fourty eight hours to air out to rid an odor. Also there isnt any garantee. Then i found Bed In A BOX. At first i was very doubtful. I found myself coming back to check it again.A great price and free shipping and a twenty year garantee seemed to good to be true. I gave in and ordered my king size mattress and as they said got in a few days.it came in a box approx size of an air mattress.They suck all the air out and put it in a small plastic bag to save space. After removing it from the plastic bag it starts to rise to it shape. Fifteen minutes later it was full size. Because you dont have to air it you can make the bed shortly after. Now our alarm clock has to wake us because we sleep the whole night and my am back aches are gone. we have had this mattress for awhile now and love it just as much now. If your looking or just concidering a new mattress check out Bed in A BOX. Almost forgot you dont get the warm spots you get with some mattress.

We were looking for a bed that didn't require a 2nd our home so we looked online & discovered BedinaBox. What a treat of easy to order & receive the Queen 10 days later. It was exciting to see it explode like a emergency life raft on our frame & in 5 minutes we had an 11" mattress. It was hard to imagine that a box the size of a small child could turn into a floating dreamlike state of bliss.

We're getting older & have back, hip issues. This mattress has solved all of those problems.

We liked it so much that when friends said they bought a TempurPedic & were not happy with it, we offered them ours & that night purchased a King for a replacement. We upgraded to a King due to a lot of cats we rescue & like our bed as well!!

We like the bag that the mattress ships in can be used for all sorts of other things. It's heavy duty tarp material is very useful. The only thing that we didn't like was the outer box had no real handles to grab onto & the FedEx guy threw it on the ground breaking the seal but there was enough heavy duty plastic, it didn't harm the mattress.

I told co-workers about BedinaBox & they have purchased frame, bed & pillows. They say they rush home to go to sleep!!

When I told my co workers that I was going to buy a mattress from a company called Bed in a Box most of them thought I was crazy. I ordered the mattress with a certain degree of mixed fear and excitement. I had slept on a memory foam mattress and loved it but the price of most of them was more than I really wanted to pay. The mattress arrived on the date indicated by the company, it was indeed in a large box. It was heavy and there was no way that I could move it up a flight of stairs by myself. I enlisted the aid of my sister and we wrangled it into the bedroom. A hint, don't remove the plastic wrapping before you get it where you want it, it expands quickly. It puffed up nicely and fit well in the platform frame I have. As strange as it sounds to buy a mattress this way I have never regretted the purchase. It is very comfortable, the bamboo cover is cool in the summer. I find that I fall asleep quicker and sleep better than on any mattress I have slept on, and I have slept on some very expensive beds. I fall asleep in one position and wake in the same position but not at all stiff or uncomfortable. My sleeping partner is pleased that it doesn't seem to transfer movement. He is a restless sleeper and I don't feel him tossing and turning although he does much less of it than with our previous mattress. All in all I am very happy with the mattress and would recommend it to anyone.

I drove everyone crazy trying to decide which mattress I should buy!I had a wonderful innerspring mattress that lasted twenty-two years. So I wanted the same quality and comfort when it came time to replace it. Unfortunately, the current price of a mattress of the same quality was $3,000.00, which was out of my price range. Since I have problems with my lower back, I decided to look at Memory Foam mattresses. I searched Internet sites, and I talked to everyone I came in contact with about foam versus innerspring mattresses. I heard about the "chemical smell" or "being too hot" or "too soft in summer, too hard in winter" when people talked about what they'd heard. It didn't sound like something I wanted to deal with, let alone pay thousands of dollars for. Then I found bedinabox by accident, while I was reading mattress reviews! I am now driving everyone crazy telling them how much I love my mattress, how comfortable it is, how inexpensive it was, how quickly I received it, how there was NO ODOR...and how much I LOVE IT! I actually purchased this memory foam mattress. We bought it. It really made a huge difference. Bed in a Box Memory Foam Mattress fits the needs of each person. My husband likes a firm mattress and I like a soft mattress. The Bed in a Box Foam Mattress fits the needs of each of us.

My husband has Crohns Disease and has also had to have back surgery. Because of all the medicines he has to take including Prednizone his bones are very brittle. While they did the surgery his bones just kept breaking and cracking so they had to stop. He has been sleeping in a recliner for over 10 years and I have had to sleep in which ever bed we had purchased this week to try to have him sleep in a bed. We happened to be looking for a new bed in a large furniture store and they had one of these mattresses on a platform bed called "Memory Foam Mattress" but they only had one and it was a queen. We were looking for a new mattress for our travel trailer. I stumbled upon the BedinaBox web page and after reading some of the reviews there decided to give it a try. When the RV sized queen mattress arrived at our door, my husband and I were both sceptical. But we took it out to the trailer, opened the box and were suprised at how easy it was to put in place on the bed platform. We went on a trip a few days later and could not believe it! We slept as soundly as we had ever slept! We own a California King memory mattress set that we purchased a few years ago by a leading manufacturer at an astronomical price. While we have always liked that mattress, we decided we like the BedinaBox mattress better and it's at a fraction of the price. Since then we have ordered a queen PacDown for our guest room. We also recently purchased a California King PacDown and another queen PacDown for our vacation home.

We are always recommending the BedinaBox mattress to our family and friends. Will never buy from a mattress store again. I have fibromyalgia so therefore I have pressure points that are painful when I sleep on a conventional mattress. I never have that pain when I sleep on one of our BedinABox memory foam mattresses.

I love the memory foam toppers they make any mattress comfortable. I love that my husband movng does not affect my sleep. It fits any bed . The price is just right and now you can access them any store. They physically are great on my back too.
