Earlier this month, I fell and broke my leg. I had surgery at the Johnson City Medical Center, and after four days, I still had some pain in my leg, but even had more pain in my back from sleeping on a mattress that felt like a sack of rags. I was in shock when I learned that I would need to spend another two or three months in a hospital bed at home until I could climb the stairs to the bedroom.

A good friend said "I can help." When the rental hospital bed arrived, he replaced the mattress with a Bed in a Box, memory foam mattress with a down topper and the difference is amazing. It is easy to say that the mattress is more comfortable - it is. What is more important to say is that my need for pain medication has dropped and there is no doubt that healing is going better. I sleep through the night without tossing and turning which was a major source of pain.

My wife and I were in the market for a new mattress. Our last one was only five years old and very uncomfortable. We paid a lot of money for it expecting it to last, it didn't.

I had the pleasure of spening a night at the Cincinnatti Hilton. All of the beds in this hotel have foma mattresses. It was an excellent night's sleep. I decided that we needed to buy a foam mattress.

I did some pricing and research in the internet. It seemed that the price of a new queen sized foam mattresses was out of our budget. On a whim, I clicked on an ad for the bed-in-a-box website. I carefully read their wesbite. The material was the same as much more expensive brands, the prcie was excellent, there was free shipping, and a money back guarantee. I decided I had nothing to lose and sent for one.

There was a very quick turn around. Three days later, two immense packages were in my drive way. One was the mattress and one was the box frame (foma mattresses do not need box springs). It took two of us to carry them inside. Afther that it was a very easy set up.

The mattress is shipped airtight. It is really neat to open the package and see the mattreess poof up as the air in the room infiltrates it and casues it to rise like bread dough. I am not very good at delayed satisfaction, so I decided to test the mattress immediately, before it was all set up. It was excellent. The foam cradled my body and gave excellent support!

I assembled the box frame, which seemed a bit on the flimsy side. It is topped with a large peice of cardbaord as opposed to wood. Nevertheless, after it is all assembled properly, it definitely does its job. There have been no complaints in the six months or so since purchase. The frame does its job.

The mattress itself has been pure pleasure. My wife and I look forward to going to sleep. We wake up without any pain, cramps, or stiffness. There have been times when a pillow has slipped away from me in the middle of the night, yet the mattress itself provides enough support for my neck so that I do not wake up with a pinched nerve.

If you need to, you can get up in the middle of the night without disturbing your partner, the foam is that responsive. I will never go back to another spring mattress. I purchased the Pac Down Plus 11inch mattress in July of 2008. I was 3 months pregnant at the time and was already experiencing hip and back pain when I would get out of my old box spring bed. I wanted to try a memory foam mattress but couldn't justify the cost without knowing if I would like it. I purchased from bed in a box because of their 120 day warranty.

The bed arrived and I couldn't wait to open it. I opened the box and the mattress sprung to life and expanded in minutes, I put the water proof cover and the goose down cover on top of that. I was pleasantly surprised by how well made the goose down cover was but disappointed that it was not as thick as I had envisioned. Still the bed felt soft but firm when I laid down on it. I slept that first night and woke up the next day without the debilitating pain in my hips. I was in love. I slept on the bed through the end of my pregnancy. I did end up with hip pain again but not until the last month.

I had planned a home birth but did not plan to give birth on the Pac down plus. I had prepared my old king size box spring bed in the master bedroom with a special cover and several old sheets for the birth. As it turns out I was only in labor for 20 minutes and couldn't move. I ended up birthing on my Pac down plus. I can't say I was particularly worried about the bed when the midwives finally arrived but I was extremely happy when they told me that the mattress was fine. The told me that nothing had even reached the mattress cover and only the goose down cover needed to be washed. I was completely prepared to throw the cover away but after one wash it looked brand new.

I love the bed. I have never seen and indentations in it after sleeping on it all night. I can't think of anything I don't like about it.

I would like to start off by saying I, like many others that buy products on line was very skeptical. But I also like many others, rely greatly on reviews. I read so many reviews on the memory foam mattresses from bed-in-a-box my eyes were doing swirlies. My husband and I were greatly in need of a new mattress. We shopped around at local furniture stores and even some that were not so local. There was lots of memory foam out there, but dang were they expensive. I don't mind saying that I would have purchased a Tempur-Pedic if I could have afforded it. That was not in the cards. Our budget was pretty limited, so I started looking on line. I still couldn't find one at a decent price. Then I found Bed-in a Box. The price of the mattress that I picked was very very reasonable and shipping was free. Now it was a matter of was this going to be everything I read about. There's also a 120 day guarantee on their beds so how could we go wrong.My husband has a bad back and my was on it's way there. The mattress we were trading this for was not very old, but was not a very good one either. After I set it up, and it took no time at all I laid down on it and was in awe. Hi guys, I got the bed (PacDown Queen) and I love it. I am disappointed with the additional shipping charges that were added on later, BUT, since I do live in Hawaii and virtually EVERYTHING is at the mercy of shipping (after all we are the most distant land mass on earth), I do understand and I appreciate that you picked up some of that tab (I think you covered about $40 or so). I appreciate the quality of everything that you put together for this bed set; from the mattress itself, to the cover, the bed protector cover, right up to the down filled comforter. Your method of packaging certainly is novel and functional. Can I make a suggestion? Start selling sheets and bedding materials that would complement the mattresses, i.e., 100% cotton sheet sets including fitted, flat, pillow case, and dust ruffles. Perhaps there is a manufacturer that you could work with that could design and produce a set that fits the unique 'squared' corners of your beds. ALSO, I have 2 dogs and a cat, and guess where they land every night? You got it, right on my bed, which in itself is not unusual. What IS unusual is the way they sleep on the bed. They find a place and DON'T move an inch after they fall asleep. My point? Why don't you make pet style beds in small (18"x24"), medium (24"x36"), and large (36"x42") sizes? You could produce easily removed covers for easy cleaning that would be a big hit, for me anyway. Thanks for the bed. You have definitely lived up to your statements on your web site and without a doubt you should do VERY well as you continue to grow. If there was any possibility you were entertaining developing a bigger presence in Hawaii, I would be interested in exploring that possibility with you. Thanks again !!!

I have never written a review of anything before, but this is such a wonderful productthat I think anyone who is looking for a fabulous bed needs to know about bedinabox.com. I have to let you know how happy I am with my purchase, and with the service we received from BedInABox.

I ordered my bed online on a Saturday afternoon. Sadly, I ordered the wrong mattress. I wanted the queen pacdown, but had ordered the regular pacbed. I called their toll free number hoping I could at least leave a message, and to my surprise the phone was answered immediately. I did mention this was a Saturday afternoon, right? In less than two minutes the gentleman had corrected my mistake, and sent me a confirmation email showing the corrected information.

We received our bed on Wednesday. I was a little leery of the whole memory foam idea. I had slept on a Tempurpedic mattress, and hated it. I thought it was HOT, and every time I rolled over I had to cope with lumps for quite some time before the mattress adjusted to my new position. My husband recently injured his back, and his doctor had prescribed a memory foam mattress, so I had decided to just be uncomfortable if it helped his back. We even got to pay for it with flex-plan funds, since the doctor had written a prescription.

To my surprise, the mattress is everything they said it would be, and more. Not hot, and it has such a quick recovery time. Of course, it's so comfortable that I don't actually move much at night anymore. I love it.

I was about 7 months pregnant when my husband and I were looking into getting a new mattress. Our old mattress was a Sealy Posturpedic spring mattress. I am a salon owner and as a stylist I am on my feet most of the day. I also suffer from chronic fatigue, so between back and hip pain and sleep issues, I have long been searching for the "perfect mattress."

My husband and I purchased our 11in Memory Foam mattress over a year ago. I was almost 7 months pregnant and it couldn't have come at a better time. We went to a number of the mattress stores but were so turned off by the cars salesmen's like atmosphere we turned to the internet.

The customer service and website information was so helpful. I was nervous in purchasing a mattress online but was reassured. We had recently purchased a platform bed frame which had more than 5in gaps between each slate (for memory foam the gaps should be 5in/less from what I have learned). The woman I spoke to guided me on the best way to (i). preserve the mattress (ii). provided numerous cost effective ideas.

BIB worked with us on delivery timing around the time our bedroom set was to be delivered. I was shocked that they would do that and that delivery was only two days! I also appreciated the email status updates.

The mattress is so comfortable. It contoured to my profile enabling me a good nights rest. Prior to receiving the bed, I could feel every spring in my old mattress leaving me restless and sore through out the work day at 7 months pregnant it was a daily disruption. My husband/I can't feel each other get up in the morning or late at night which is a plus, especially getting up at 4am on travel days.

This is a big thank you. I got the queen-sized PacDown mattress and it is fabulous! I'm one of those folks who needed some time to adjust to my new sleeping situation because my old mattress was so bad I had to get used to sleeping well again! It took me about a week to settle in and sleep comfortably through the night but now every night is a good night.

A good friend reccomended the Bed-In-A-Box PacDown mattress and I'm so glad I took his advice. The mattress is just fantastic! I'd heard that some memory foam mattresses get too warm, or that you get "stuck" in them, which is why I was always skeptical of them - especially at the prices some brands charge. I am pleased to report that there is none of that with the PacDown. It's firm enough that I can sleep comfortably on my back, but it gives way very nicely when I roll over on to my side or stomach. There's no wrong way to sleep on it!

I have a full-sized bed, and I don't find the mattress to be heavy at all. That may be true for the larger sizes, but the full is very easy to reposition on my platform bed. Even without handles it's easier to maneuver than my old spring mattress.

The PacDown cover is very comforable and well-made. It's not as thick as other down mattress toppers I've seen, but that's a good thing. It's enough without being too much; I don't feel like I'm drowning in a sea of overstuffed pillows. The star, after all, is the mattress itself, and there's no reason why the topper should overpower it.

Delivery was quick. The item was very well-packed. Customer service was superb. I'm glad I bought this mattress and I would definitely buy from them again.

I received this bed (in a box) so quick. I couldn't believe it! It actually arrived in a box that I could maneuver around all by myself. I couldn't believe that a queen size bed was in there, but it was. The service and commitment that I received was unquestionable. I had to call back with a question on delivery and I think I spoke to one of the owners. :) I ordered the Queen PacDown Plus, and it has been a tremendous help to my health and a great night's rest.

We purchased our King size bed in a box about 2 years ago, and we love it. The way it was shipped in a box, and you opened and the mattress opened up. We looked at many foam mattresses, and this was the best price, and it is worth alot more than we paid. The cover is so easy to clean, and it is a breeze to make the bed. We used to have a water bed for years, but compared to this foam mattress, I will never buy anything else but a bed in a box. The quality is excellent. When my grandson comes to visit he loves playing on the bed. I have a toy poodle that will not sleep anywhere else but in our bed, he doesn't wake up all night. My husband used to snore, and no longer does that because he gets a good nights sleep on our mattress. I am already thinking about buying one for my grandson when he gets older so he can sleep as good as we do. The best part of owning this bed, of course was the little money spent to purchase. Other foam mattresses are way out of our price range for a king size bed. My husband found this website and we were a little nervous at first about buying a mattress and having it delivered in a box. It was a very pleasant experience and we are very satisfied.

I own two Bedinabox mattresses - both 9 inch PacDowns, one a Queen, the other a King.

I used to have a Tempurpedic mattress while living in London - good product, but ridiculously overpriced.

The Bedinabox product is every bit as good, at a fraction of the cost. Unbelievably comfortable, really well made, at a ridiculously great price. And the down covers are just the icing on the cake - I would highly recommend ordering one along with the mattress, as they provide great protection for the mattress, are cool in summer, and warm in winter.

The packaging is brilliant and ingenious. I had to get the delivery sent to my office, and it was so easy to get the box into the back of my car and into my house. Obviously the box is heavy, but two people can easily manage this - in a way you would never be able to do with a conventional, unrolled mattress. I just wanted to tell you how HAPPY we are with our new bed. After 25 years on water beds we were so ready for a change and this is just the thing. I have had two spinal surgeries in the past two years and sleeping well has been somewhat of a challenge. I had thought that a memory foam mattress might really help to evenly distribute my weight and relieve some of my back problems. The only problem was that every quality mattress that I looked at was just too expensive. When I found Bedinabox, I frankly thought that it promised too much at such a low price. But, after reading the specs on the materials used and the construction, I figured it was worth a gamble.

I was right in my assumption that the memory foam approach was very helpful to sleeping with my bad back. I've had it for about nine months now and I couldn't be more satisfied. I started looking at memory foam mattresses two years ago. I was very close to buying a tempur-pedic, as ever other mattress I tried in the stores just was too hard or too squishy. I forget how I stumbled across Bed-in-a-Box, but I was very cautious.

I decided to give it a shot because of reviews like this. Also, the information they provide on the website is great. And for some reason it seemed familiar to me, maybe it was the chemical company who makes the foam ie a huge company with a great reputation.

My take, the bed comes in a box! It is fun just opening the thing. I got a california king, as I am taller, and it was amazing at how compact it was. The bed is super comfortable, it holds up great and fits into the tempurpedic range of support and give, right in between the too hard or too squishy. I have had it for over a year and see no difference in how the material reacts.

We love our bedinabox bed. My wife complains the bed is so comfortable she does not want to get up. She is working on a master's degree and does most of her studying in bed. It is great. We sleep deeper and feel more refreshed in the morning. We just love our bed and recommend it to all our friends.

Setup was simple. I built a platform, so we just opened the box and placed the matress on the platform. It comes in a box, compressed into a small roll covered by a plastic in nylon duffle bag. We cut open the wraper and it expanded to full size in a just a couple of minutes.

My children love to lay on it. They think it is the best bed ever.

Only one thing does not impress me. The bed does not come with a matress cover like the one from stores. You can buy a down cover, but I did not. So mine came with a water proof pad that gets pretty hot. So if you want to turn off the heat, the water proof pad is the ticket. We removed it and now just use a regular bed pad that works fine.

I bought the PacDown Plus foam mattress with down cover from Bed in a Box a few months ago, and I have been happy as a puppy romping in a field of daisies ever since. Unlike other foam mattresses, including the "space age" foam mattresses that cost way more than this one, I have both cushy comfort and gently firm support each night as I drift off to dream land. According to the website, the mattress I bought has 3" of memory foam and 8" of High Resiliency base foam.Thing is, I wasn't sure how such a mattress could fit into a relatively small duffel. Wow! Was I surprised. When I began to cut away the plastic that covered the rolled up mattress, it immediately inflated to the full 11" thickness and was ready to lie down upon. It was love at first snooze!

I love my bed in a box so much!! The down cover makes it feel like I am sleeping on a cloud. If I ever move and need more beds, I will definitely buy all of them from Bed In A Box. The customer service was outstanding. When I got the bed, I had a question and they replied right away. It was such a great deal compared with other memory foam mattresses. I really wanted this $2500 mattress I saw in the store. I tried it out, and I bought the Bed in A Box and it feels like the same quality as the pricier mattress. It was awesome and it has exceeded my expectations! I put it on an adjustable bed base and it is the most luxurious bed ever. Any of my friends who sit on it think I paid thousands for it. When I sleepover at friend's houses or at luxury hotels, their beds are always a lot less comfortable than my bed in a box. I would recommend this bed to everyone who wants to feel pampered in bed.

I bought the Pacbed Original Plus with no down cover and I just love it. I've suffered with painful hips and low back pain for years and thought this might be the mattress for me, but couldn't make up my mind. I came across the Bedinabox website and made my decision. I was very skeptical about ordering a bed from the Internet. I saw all the great reviews and thought they must be filtering out the bad ones. I finally went for it when my daughter graduated to her "big girl" room and purchased the PacDown 9" with frame. Everything was as advertised. The bed shipped quick (2 days to Michigan) and complete. The frame is a cinch to put together and it all fit perfectly in the twin frame we had already purchased. I lay down and read a few books every night with my daughter and the bed is very comfortable. My entire Bedinabox experience was and still is excellent.

I bought a Tempurpedic mattress a few years back and actually returned it because it was too hard. After that, I did my research and decided that a lower density foam was right for me. This led me Bedinabox.

I liked the fact that their mattresses are American made and by BASF no less! Ordering was easy, delivery was right on time, and the price was a fraction of the Tempurpedic. The mattress is soft and does mold to your body, but it is also responsive and retakes shape quickly. I love this mattress and it is definitely the best bed I've ever had.
