CertiPUR-US is like having a health check-up for foam. The foam is examined and put through a series of scientific tests -- to be sure it meets the strict voluntary standards of the CertiPUR-US program. The tests evaluate foam content and important durability factors. Only foam products that have been tested and approved are certified by CertiPUR-US.

CertiPUR-US approved foams are: Low emission (low VOCS) BPA Phthalates-free Made without ozone depleters PBDE-free Mercury, Lead and heavy metal free Made without formaldehyde BHT-free

The global foam industry developed the voluntary CertiPUR-US guidelines with the guidance of industry leaders, scientists, consumer advocates and environmentalists around the world.
